Shehadi: 1st Meal in Peru

I guess I got so excited about the locked out of the house experience that I forgot to tell you that our first meal here was a fabulous grilled seafood platter at a sweet little place right on the main plaza in Miraflores – Shehadi. It was listed as an appetizer to share. Fortunately we had heard about the huge portions, so ordered one to share and it was more than enough. Baby squid, langostinos, calamaris, corvine. Scrumptious – and more than enough for the two of us. A beer. Two glasses of wine. Total bill 43 soles (about $US14). We enjoyed walking around the park in the evening and were amazed at how many people were out doing the same thing. We realized we are not used to being somewhere that people are out and about in the evening. It was wonderful.
